Ken Hi there Most ISP's unless you use some abomination like their webservers for email (usually slow and riddled with adverts) won't allow you to SEND when away from home - usually the SMTP server only allows logons from your home.

As of February 28, 2017 the following WORKED: 1: "Manually Configure Server Settings 2: use incoming IMAP, 3: use imap port: 993 4: "requires a secure connection SSL" 5: outgoing: com 6: IMPORTANT ::: USE PORT 587 for outgoing smtp 7: "requires a secure connection SSL" 8: IMPORTANT :::: "MY SERVER REQUIRES AUTHENTICATION" !!!!! After the latest windows 10 update my windows live mail stopped receiving hotmail. I installed the december windows essentials update last week and it started receiving hotmail again. He had Windows Live Mail in his Windows 7 desktop, so I installed Windows Essentials 2012 in the notebook as well to use a familiar e-mail application. Since updating to Windows 10 from 8.1, Windows Live Mail instantly crashes when viewing most emails.
